Peace River

July 23

Peace doesn’t come from controlling life. It comes from trusting that I don’t have to carry it all alone.

July 23

I’ve learned that control and trust cannot occupy the same space for very long.

The tighter I grip people, outcomes, or circumstances, the less room I leave for life to unfold in ways I could never have imagined.

Doing my part matters.

Trying to do everyone else’s part does not.

There is a difference.

I’ve also learned that resentment isn’t protection.

It may feel like armor for a while, but eventually it becomes weight that I carry everywhere I go.

Real protection doesn’t come from hardening my heart.

It comes from healthy boundaries, honest conversations, and trusting myself enough to walk away when something isn’t loving.

Sometimes the most courageous thing I can do is pause.

Before reacting.

Before fixing.

Before assuming.

Stillness gives wisdom room to speak.

Laughter belongs in healing, too.

Not the kind that dismisses pain, but the kind that reminds me not to take every passing thought or difficult season as the whole story.

Sometimes I need to step back and smile at the beautiful, messy adventure of being human.

Above all, I remember this:

I don’t walk through life alone.

I am deeply loved.

Guided.

Held.

Whether I call that God, Spirit, Source, or Love itself, I am in relationship with something far greater than my fears.

That relationship changes everything.

Today I’ll do my part.

Then I’ll loosen my grip.

And trust Love to do the rest.

Grounding Questions

Where am I carrying something that doesn’t belong to me?

What would become possible if I loosened my grip just a little today?

How can I make space for both stillness and laughter today?
