October 26
No one else can be me quite like I can. And today, I get to be me.
Each of us brings something uniquely our own into this world. Our perspectives, interests, abilities, experiences, and the particular ways we express love and connect with others all become part of the lives we touch.
Some of what makes us unique comes naturally. Other parts reveal themselves as we move through life, follow our curiosity, try new things, and discover what makes us feel most alive.
And some of the most meaningful things we do may seem to have no practical purpose at all. It's all for us though. All will be revealed.
We might love to sing, write, dance, wander through the woods, tend a garden, or spend hours learning about something that fascinates us. We don’t have to turn everything we love into something productive or profitable. Joy is reason enough.
I can pay attention to what lights me up, what draws me in, and what I long to experience. These are invitations to know myself more deeply, not instructions I must follow or expectations I must fulfill.
And I can be honest about who I am.
Sometimes that means speaking my truth. Sometimes it means acknowledging that I don’t know, that I’ve changed my mind, or that something I once wanted no longer feels right for me.
Authenticity doesn’t require me to share every part of myself with everyone. It asks that I remain truthful with myself, even as I choose how and with whom I share my life.
I can honor the dreams and desires of others without making them my own. I can appreciate the paths they choose while allowing myself to walk mine.
There is room in this world for all our different ways of being.
And as I listen more closely to my heart, I can invite Spirit to guide me toward the people, experiences, and opportunities that resonate with the life I want to live.
I don’t have to discover one grand purpose or become someone extraordinary to live meaningfully. I already am. So are you. There is meaning in how I love, how I participate, what I create, what I notice, and what I bring to the moments I am given.
I am already a worthwhile expression of Divine Love.
Today, I give myself permission to enjoy being me, to follow what brings me alive, and to let my life become an ever-unfolding expression of who I am.
Grounding questions
Where in my life do I feel most like myself?
What brings me joy simply for the experience of it?
Is there a desire or interest I’ve set aside because I thought it wasn’t practical or important enough?
How might I make more room for my own unique expression today?
